A sad message from our League Commissioner-Bob Corceone

For those who have not heard, Vince DiGiulio passed away last night. As many of you know, he suffered a heart attack a couple of weeks ago at the YMCA while playing basketball with his hoop buddies. He had surgery to install stents to his heart. Everything
was looking better for him but then he got pneumonia which he could not overcome.

Vince—or "Coach Vince"—was a friend, board member, captain, player, and sometimes a pain in my ass. He was deeply passionate about the CSBL and cared immensely about the league. I could count on weekly calls from him to discuss rules or review the events of Saturday's games.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Best,
Bob Corcione

From the "Mish"

The first games of the year are now history. Some teams are undefeated and the others are winless! Another chance to move the needle is this weekend and every weekend going forward.

Hope all the rookies mixed well with the old timers and had a great experience. Playing in the CSBL has always been a great place to keep playing at a high level even though we are all over 50!

On a sad note, Coach Vince DeJulio had a medical issue playing at the YMCA and was taken to the hospital. He is doing better but not out of the woods just yet. Please keep him in your players and for a complete recovery.

Thanks again, bob-commissioner

Sponsor Alert!

21 Boom special offer to all CSBL Members...from Kory, former CSBL Player and Owner of 21 BOOM Fitness center.

Good morning. Jack Scully and I were chatting after a training session last night about how more CSBL players could benefit from programming that helps them stay in the game, and I wanted to see if there might be an opportunity to share the attached flyer with league members through the CSBL newsletter, email list, or whatever communication you typically use.

We’re offering CSBL players a complimentary consultation and introductory small group training session focused on helping them better prepare their bodies for the season through joint mobility, core stability, functional strength, and performance training.

Players can participate with us in-club or online, depending on what works best for them.

Check out my Flyer and thanks guys.
