Lower Paxton Community Foundation Lower Paxton Community Foundation is a Pennsylvania 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Today we know the Village as Linglestown.

In 1765 Thomas Lingle purchased a large tract of land and divided it into 80 plots to establish the Village of St Thomas. Together our community will celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Linglestown in 2015. the whole community has come together to help with the celebration. Service groups, churches, scouts, businesses and citizens. There will be events throughout the year with the big celebration w

eekend October 10 & 11, 2015. Mission: To celebrate Linglestown’s heritage and educate all about it’s unique history. To encourage community engagement, beautify and develop physical improvements.

If you were planning to attend the concert today that we mentioned in yesterday’s post, please note that it has been rescheduled due to weather concerns this evening.

The event will now take place on Friday, July 10.

Due to weather concerns, today's event has been cancelled. The Colin Alvarez Band has been rescheduled to 7/10 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the same venue.

🇺🇸 What an incredible day!

Thank you to everyone who joined us today for the Independence Weekend Family Celebration 2026 at Dauphin County Heroes Grove! From the patriotic ceremony and live entertainment to the family activities and time spent honoring our veterans, it was a wonderful day of community as we kicked off our local celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, performers, sponsors, community partners, veterans, and everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Events like this are only possible because of the amazing people who make our community so special.

But the celebration isn’t over! Join our friends at Lower Paxton Parks & Rec tomorrow for the America250PA Star Spangled Spectacular from 4:00–8:00 PM at Dauphin County Heroes Grove. Enjoy live entertainment featuring The Colin Alvarez Band, the Lower Paxton Variety Band, Freedom Guard & Dance, themed activities, free popcorn, giveaways, and more!

We’ll see you tomorrow as we continue celebrating America’s 250th anniversary together! 🇺🇸🎆
