The members of Red Knights Virginia 8 extend our deepest condolences to Cpl. John Walsh, his family, and the entire department on the loss of K-9 Knight.

As brothers and sisters of within the thin Red Line, we understand that service comes in many forms and that courage knows no boundaries. K-9 Knight served with honor, loyalty, and unwavering dedication, standing beside his handler through countless calls and helping protect the community he faithfully served.

The bond between a K-9 and their handler is one forged through trust, sacrifice, and devotion. The loss of such a partner is felt far beyond a single department—it is felt throughout the entire public safety family.

Today, we join our law enforcement brothers and sisters in honoring Knight’s life, service, and sacrifice. May his memory continue to inspire all who wear the badge and serve others.

Rest easy, Knight. Your watch has ended, but your legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew you and the community you helped protect.

End of Watch: May 31, 2026

Fraternally,

Red Knights Virginia 8
