Tri-Cities Home Educators would like to invite you to our Back 2 School Bash on August 20th, at 7pm! Come check us out!

TCHE has been a Christian homeschooling support group in our area since 1991! We offer recreational and social activities for families, support and encouragement in your homeschool journey, and community with other homeschoolers! tcheofva.org

We are also looking for businesses to attend the Back 2 School Bash, that are relevant to homeschooling, like tutors, karate dojos, dance studios, horse riding lessons, art studios, music lessons, etc....OR your business likes to hire homeschoolers! We would provide a spot for you to set up a table/booth where you can display any information you have and meet and greet with our homeschool community! This is not a vendor event, so we ask that no items be for sale.

We know it's still summer, but we're making plans for the next school year! Can't wait to welcome new members and renew current members! 3 weeks!

The leaders of TCHE would like to wish everyone a relaxing summer. Take time to reflect on what worked well and what went haywire. It’s a marathon, not a race, so just keep moving forward as God leads your family.

We are already making plans for the next school year and have exciting news to announce. First, we want to thank Mindi Freds for serving as our Treasurer for the last 5 years and to Dawn Helton for serving in the President’s role for the last 2 years. We appreciate all you’ve done to move this group forward.

Next, we’d like to welcome Tiffany Cummings as our next President. She and Josh have 5 children with 2 that have graduated. She brings her warmth and exuberance and years of experience as a youth leader to us and is excited to jump into this new role.

Sarah Neale and her family of 6 comes to us with many years of experience in the finance world. She works from home and homeschools and will join us as our next Treasurer.

Ashley Marks and her husband have 4 children and is always ready to jump in and help. She enjoys gardening, crocheting and reading. She will serve on the Board as our Member-at-large and will be a great addition to our new team.

Christie Leggett, who has been in this group almost as long I have, is beginning her 4th year as Secretary and keeps us in line with the meeting minutes, maintains the website and manages membership records. She loves to read, bake and spend time with her family. She and Robert have 4 children, 2 of which are graduates.

Lastly, I am returning to serve as Vice President. Mike and I have 3 children together but only one still at home. We enjoy traveling in our camper, hunting and fishing. We have been a part of this group since 2004. TCHE has been a lifeline to keep us going on the homeschooling journey. So come along with us on this journey! We look forward to meeting you.
