Sundays @ 10:30a Welcome, you are invited to worship with us at Maranatha Bible Church.

We are just a little country church that's nestled here near the friendly town of Colonial Beach in Westmoreland County, Virginia. We are sure that on your visit with us you will find us to be a very friendly church. We would love to shake your hand in person some Sunday morning for worship service or Wednesday night for bible study. Maranatha is a multi-cultured congregation with a focus of love

for all and a mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone. Your worship experience at Maranatha will be one that is Christ-centered with sound bible preaching, teaching, and singing praises to lift the name of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. From our youth singing ministry we are blessed with the voices of The Anointed Angels Youth Choir is a group of teens who are eager to lift the name of Jesus in song at home and everywhere they go. Also Maranatha is the home church of the Brothers-In-Christ Quartet that ministers to the congregation in song every 2nd and 4th Sunday during the 10:30 am morning service. Then located at Maranatha is the "Youth Mission Center" where there is a program designed for all ages of youth to participate in. We also provide child care and children's church for those who choose to use it.

Tonight we will continue the requested series of studies titled “Why I Believe in God” and “Why I Believe What I Believe.” This is an excellent series designed to equip believers with confidence in knowing and understanding the truth of God’s Word as disciples of Christ.

We believe every true child of God possesses eternal life, is justified by faith, sanctified by God, sealed with the Holy Spirit, safe and secure for all eternity, and cannot lose his salvation. However, a Christian can, through sin, lose fellowship, joy, power, testimony, and reward, and incur the Father's chastisement. Relationship is eternal, being established by the new birth. Fellowship, however, is dependent upon obedience. God guarantees salvation, it is His gift to us. God guarantees reward and fruit to the obedient son. God guarantees chastening and loss of rewards to the disobedient son. God does not cast out disobedient children, but in some cases, does take them home. He does not permit His children to live as they please without discipline and guidance.
