New Horizons for Haiti

New Horizons for Haiti Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of children in rural Haiti by providing free education, meals and healthcare.

New Horizons for Haiti is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization which operates "Heart of Saulance School for Children"- the only tuition-free school in the rural village of Laferme-Leblanc, Haiti. We work with the neediest children in the area- orphans and children from single parent homes- to provide them with the education, nutrition and healthcare they need to become the next leaders in their com

munity. All of our students follow a multilingual curriculum and are in school from 8am-4pm- three hours longer than the national average. At school, they recieve school supplies, clothing, vitamins and two meals a day. They also recieve hygeine instruction and regular medical checkups. It takes a community to raise a child, so we engage guardians in biweekly parent/teacher conferences as well as monthly Family Days. To stimulate the local economy, we exclusively hire local workers to maintain the facilities, teach and cook for our students.
