www.straycatblues.org Mission Statement: Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We rescue stray and abandoned cats and kittens located primarily in Montgomery and Bucks and other suburban Philadelphia counties, and find them safe and appropriate homes. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for ab

andoned cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays. Stray Cat Blues actively works to recruit permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our 4 different adoption cage locations to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for the organization. In addition to placement of sociable cats and kittens, a major focus of Stray Cat Blues is to place feral and unsociable cats in qualified barn homes. Like our house cats, our barn cats are delivered to their new homes by a Stray Cat Blues volunteer. We provide our barn cats with a cozy "cat condominium" to live in for the first few weeks of life in their new location. The crate allows the cats to acclimate to their new home without the danger of having them run away in search of their old stomping grounds. We are willing to go to great lengths for our cats - quite literally! We will gladly travel to approved barn homes within an approximate 100 mile radius of the Lansdale and Montgomeryville area to deliver our helpful mousers. Most of our cats are strays and their offspring that are rescued from area locations. Many of these strays are more than willing to be helped by our volunteers. But for those animals that are more wary of humans, especially the feral cats, we utilize humane traps. Many of our kittens are born to mother cats that we have rescued. Email: [email protected]

Mabel is located with Stray Cat Blues.

Nobody knows exactly where Mabel’s story began—not even Mabel herself. What she does know is that she once had a home, and when her owner wanted to put her outside, a caring friend stepped in and brought her to safety at Stray Cat Blues.

Mabel is a quiet, gentle girl with a sweet and timid nature. She enjoys being petted and spending time near her people, but she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and isn’t a fan of being picked up. Like many independent cats, Mabel likes to interact on her own terms and appreciates a patient adopter who will respect her boundaries.

With her calm personality and soft spirit, Mabel would love a home where she can feel safe, loved, and accepted for exactly who she is.

Liam is an adorable 5-month-old tiger tabby with the sweetest face and the most playful personality! This handsome little guy is currently waiting for his forever home at our Collegeville location, and he’s ready to steal your heart.

When Liam first came into our care in October, he was severely underweight and quite scrawny. With lots of love, good food, and gentle care, he has blossomed into a healthy, happy, and energetic boy. Watching him grow stronger and more confident has been such a joy!

Liam absolutely loves to play — especially with his kitten friends Frost, Noir, and Ginny. He would do best in a home with another friendly cat to keep him company and continue building his confidence. Because he can be a little sensitive, Liam would thrive in a home without young children or large dogs.

Chloe is a beautiful young torbie with a heart that’s taken a little extra time to heal.

Chloe was rescued over a year ago from a makeshift outdoor enclosure, and after everything she’d been through, trusting people didn’t come easily. When she first arrived in foster care, she preferred the company of other cats and kept her distance from humans. Her foster family gave her the one thing she needed most: time.

Then, almost a year later, something wonderful happened.

One day, Chloe decided she was ready and started rubbing against legs, asking for pets. The shy girl who once watched from a distance suddenly began seeking attention, exploring the house, and enjoying human companionship. It was as if she finally realized she was safe.

Today, Chloe continues to blossom. She loves being around other animals and gains confidence from their companionship. She’s discovering how much fun it is to be part of a family and is enjoying all the love she missed out on for so long.

Chloe is looking for a patient, understanding home that will continue to let her grow at her own pace. Named after the legendary Manning brothers, these bonded kitten siblings have all the star power of their football namesakes. Confident, playful, affectionate, and incredibly handsome little guys, Eli and Peyton are the complete package!

🐾 Meet Big Boy! 🐾

Big Boy’s story is proof that sometimes the cats we think are meant for life outdoors have other plans.

Originally trapped, neutered, and returned through a TNR program, Big Boy seemed perfectly content living outside—until he started showing up at his foster’s door, making it very clear he wanted to come inside. Just before a storm rolled in, his foster decided to give him a chance, and it turned out to be exactly what he needed.

Not long after settling indoors, Big Boy began acting strangely and developed a noticeable facial droop. A veterinary exam revealed the cause: a severely abscessed tooth. After dental surgery and antibiotics, he made a full recovery and has been feeling better than ever.

Now this handsome tabby is embracing indoor life and all its comforts. He’s a gentle, laid-back guy who absolutely adores other cats. In fact, he’s currently serving as a foster dad to a group of kittens, happily supervising their antics and keeping them company. He takes his job very seriously!

While Big Boy can be a little shy when meeting new people, his sweet personality shines once he feels safe. He’ll greet you with affectionate leg hugs, gentle rubs, and quiet companionship. He’s not demanding—he’s simply happy to be near his people.

Meet Roman 💛

Roman (DOB 2/27/25) is a sweet, low-key boy who loves toys and enjoys both independent play and cuddle time on the couch. He gets along with other cats but would also do well as your only kitty with plenty of love and attention.

He needs a quiet home with attentive adult adopters, as he can be a curious “door dasher,” so keeping doors securely closed is important. For that reason, a home without young children is best.
