It was an honor for the Honor Guard of Donnie E. Horton American Legion Post 254 to present the National Colors today at the home baseball game at Collinwood High School.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to pause, stand together, and honor our flag and the freedoms it represents. We are proud to support our community and our student athletes.

Thank you to everyone who showed their respect as the colors were presented. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Today our Donnie E. Horton American Legion Post 254 Honor Guard in Collinwood, Tennessee rendered final respects to three Veterans β€” two from the Army and one from the Air Force. With the sounding of Taps, a 21-gun salute, and the folding and presentation of the American flag to their loved ones, we honored their service and sacrifice.

It is a solemn duty and a true honor for us to remember these Veterans and stand with their families as we say farewell.

This morning, the Honor Guard from The Sgt. Donnie E. Horton American Legion Post 254 in Collinwood, Tennessee had the privilege of honoring a fellow Marine Vietnam Veteran.

What made this morning especially meaningful was that it was a sunrise service. We rendered a 21-gun salute, Taps, and carefully folded the American flag that had draped his casket, and then presented it to his grandson.

Moments like this are both humbling and powerful. It is truly an honor to stand beside fellow veterans and pay our final respects when one of our own has passed.

Service to those who served is something we never take lightly.

No greater honor than to stand for those who once stood for us. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
