All proceeds from the sales of "Uganda Bags and Beads" sends kids to school, supports family preservation, & helps single mommas build homes in Uganda, Africa. 🇺🇬❤️🇺🇸 Two Women. Two Countries. One Friendship. One Mission.

Uganda Bags and Beads began with a beautiful friendship between two women from opposite sides of the world—Ssanyu Harriet from Uganda and Christy Rowden from Oklahoma.

Our paths crossed in Uganda in 2013, and an instant friendship was formed. What began as a simple connection grew into a meaningful partnership rooted in friendship, faith, and a shared desire to make a difference.

Today, Harriet lovingly creates beautiful handmade crafts and purchases unique items from local Ugandan artisans, while Christy shares and sells these treasures here in Oklahoma.

But Uganda Bags and Beads is about so much more than beautiful handmade products. ❤️

It’s about women supporting women, creating opportunities, strengthening families, and helping provide education and a brighter future for children in Uganda.

Every purchase makes a difference. Every item has a story. And every dollar of proceeds goes right back into supporting families and educational opportunities in Uganda.

We believe that when women lift one another up, families grow stronger, communities thrive, and lives are changed.
