Happy Wednesday.

Bring excellence. Show integrity.
Serve people well. Build something meaningful.

But remember: Your work was meant to flow from your identity in Jesus, not become your identity.

Not every idol looks religious.
Some wear a calendar full of meetings.
A packed schedule. An impressive résumé.
A growing platform.

The counterfeit kingdom of hustle says:
"Produce more. Achieve more. Become more."

Jesus offers a different Kingdom:
"You are already loved. Now live from that identity."
Performance makes a terrible savior.

What if the problem isn’t that you haven’t achieved enough? What if you’ve been asking achievement to give you something it was never designed to give?
God created us to work, build, create, and accomplish. But when our work stops being worship and starts becoming the source of our identity, we fall into The Hustle Trap. We begin measuring our worth by what we produce, and no matter how much we accomplish, the tower is never tall enough.
In this message from Counterfeit Kingdom, Pastor David explores how sin turned work into toil, how Babel turned achievement into identity, and how Jesus restores work to its intended purpose. We can work hard without allowing our work to become our king, rest without believing everything depends on us, and live in a way that points people toward Jesus.
We work hard because our work is worship. We rest well because our work isn’t our god.

Work hard. Do more.
Earn more. Build more.
Become more successful.
But when does working hard become hustling for worth?

This Sunday at Navigation Church, we’re continuing Counterfeit Kingdom with The Hustle Trap: Performance vs. Purpose.

What if the problem isn’t that you haven’t achieved enough?

What if you’ve been asking “achievement” to give you something it was never designed to give?

This Sunday, we’re talking about The Hustle Trap: Performance vs. Purpose.

Come ready to rethink why you work, what you’re building, and where your worth really comes from.

COUNTERFEIT KINGDOM | 9:05 + 10:45 AM

We want grace for our failures.
We want context for our mistakes.
What if we extended that same grace to others?
That's cancel culture vs. Kingdom culture.
One condemns. The other believes Jesus can still change people.

10/07/2026

Cancel culture looks for reasons to write people off.
Kingdom culture looks for ways God can transform them.
Truth matters. Accountability matters.
So does redemption.
