Upcoming event!
The WNYRHS member Geno Dailey will be covering a cross-country Amtrak trip he completed in October 2025 riding a total of 11 Amtrak trains round-trip, cross country. The trains that will be featured in this program include the Lake Shore Limited (3x), Texas Eagle, Sunset Limited, Coast Starlight (2x), San Joaquins, Pacific Surfliner (2x), and the Southwest Chief. We'll see photography from Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH, Railfanning at Roosevelt Road in Chicago, visit Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara, CA as well as the Western America Railroad Museum in Barstow, CA. This trip also includes a first-time ride in brand-new Siemens Venture Coaches on the San Joaquins (now Gold Runner) service, and lots of interesting sights along the way. We hope you can make it to the meeting for another great story about America as viewed from the windows of Amtrak!
