Because baptism is the outward declaration of faith in Jesus, it should be reserved for people who have repented of their sin and believed in Jesus for salvation. There aren’t any accounts in the Bible of someone being baptized before they trusted Jesus.

What does it look like to make disciples right where God has placed you?

For Leah Beth Etheredge, it meant following God’s call to New York City, stepping into a community of creatives, and discovering how intentional relationships can open doors for meaningful spiritual growth.

Her story is a powerful reminder that disciple-making doesn’t depend on a program or a perfect environment. It starts with being willing to follow Jesus, live sent, and invest in the people already around you.

Wherever God has pssion is the same: **make disciples who make disciples.**

Listen to this conversation on *The Disciple-Making Leader Podcast* and be encouraged to trust God, take the next step of faith, and invest in a few.

Jesus understood that character issues are best handled one on one. Peter had just committed an epic character failure. Just hours before, he had pledged to defend Jesus to the death, but when the heat was on and he was asked point blank if he was a follower of Christ, he folded like a deck of cards. Immediately the rooster crowed, and Peter was reminded of Jesus’ words.

Peter walked away in shame that night. It was a failure he felt branded him for life. But after the resurrection of Jesus, Peter had a one-on-one encounter with Christ that reinstated him as the leader of the new Christian movement.

Peter had a family to feed and a business to run. Following Jesus full time hit him differently than it hit the others.

Jesus didn't wave off his concerns. He healed Peter's mother-in-law, filled his nets until the boats began to sink, and then called him again.

On this episode of the Disciple Making Leader Podcast, we look at Peter's second call in Luke 5 and how Jesus meets us when we hesitate.
