Jim is from Fredericksburg, Texas and is studying Public Health. His home outfit is Squadron 20 and he serves on 1st Wing Staff as the PR and Recruiting Officer.

When asked why he chose DRC, Jim said “I joined DRC because I saw it as an opportunity to encourage people to further develop & challenge themselves by joining the Corps, in the same way it had challenged and developed me.”

Meet our 2026-2027 DRC PR Sergeant, Morgen Glossup!

Morgen is from Salado, Texas and is studying Agricultural Leadership and Development. Her home outfit is A-Company and she serves as the Infantry Public Relation and Finance Sergeant.

When asked why she chose DRC, Morgen said “I love seeing how excited students are to be on campus. Their energy and excitement inspire me to show up and be present because it reminds me how meaningful the college experience in the Corps of Cadets is.”

Morgen is most looking forward to put in the work to get tour qualified. She can’t wait for SNWC to start back up and show high school students what DRC is all about!

Meet our 2026-2027 DRC PR Sergeant, Soledad Camacho!

Soledad is from Pearland, Texas and is studying Psychology with Minors in Spanish and Human Resources. Her home outfit is B-Battery and she serves on Corps Staff as the Corps Recruiting Sergeant.

When asked why she chose DRC, Soledad said “I was always surrounded with the mentality of constantly building my replacements and leaving my organization in better hands than I found it. Through DRC and through recruiting, I’m not only able to do that on a personal level, but I’m also able to recruit future cadets who will lead the Corps into a better place than when I got here. DRC allows me to be the first face a prospect meets and help them get excited for the start of their Corps career.”

Soledad is most looking forward to get back in leading tours and making sure to get good photos to help show what the Corps and DRC is all about. She’s also excited to see her recruiting buddies again and work together as a team to recruit!

The people I interacted that day influenced me to make the best decision I’ve ever made and I just want to be able to be that for other people. Also I’ve just loved to meet people across the quad through DRC that I otherwise would have never met!!”

Viviana is most looking forward to helping inspire confidence in her peers and helping others make the decision to join the college that has brought her a family away from home.

Meet our 2026-2027 Commanding Officer, Lenna Veldstra!

Lenna is from Rocklin, California and is studying Honor English with a focus in Rhetoric and a Minor in Professional Writing. Her home outfit is B-Battery and she serves as the Combined Band Recruiting Officer.

When asked why she chose DRC, Lenna said “Darling Recruiting Company holds a special place in my heart because I never got to spend the night with the Corps. As an out of state student who joined the Corps with no prior exposure to cadet life and very little information about the Corps, I’ve  found a passion for equipping students with information and experiences I never had so they can make informed decisions about college and the Corps. I love the Corps, and I love sharing my story with prospects and introducing them to the organization that changed my life, and showing them all the ways the Corps can change theirs. Honesty is always the best policy, especially in recruiting, and that’s what truly drives my passion for being in DRC.“

For the upcoming year, Lenna is excited for Spend the Night with the Corps, meeting new students, and spending time with her recruiters. DRC is a really tight-knit unit and seeing everyone on Thursday afternoon is always the highlight of her week.
