is a 401(c)3 non-profit organization. We are working raise money for the construction and operation of the Military Heritage Center in College Station, Texas. The center in Veterans Park will house permanent and traveling exhibits, including Texas Aggies Go To War, and host educational events. The goal is to enlighten visitors about the service and sacrifice of American service members from Aggiel

and, Texas and the nation. On December 12, 2014 the Bastogne War Museum opened Texas Aggies Go To War as part of its commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. This interactive and compelling exhibit explores the period of WWII through the stories of five Aggies who fought in that battle: Turney W. Hollingsworth ’40, Joe E. Routt ’37, William M. Peña ’42, James E. Rudder ‘32. Visitors learn about the lives of these five, representative of the American citizen soldier. The exhibit follows them growing up in Texas, matriculating at Texas A&M (at that time Texas AMC), joining the war effort, and serving valiantly during the Battle of the Bulge. In touching tribute, the exhibit honors the impact each of these five Aggies had on their families, their school, the people of Belgium and Europe, and their communities back home. In late 2016, a scaled down recreation of the exhibit was in the Veterans Lounge of the Memorial Student Center. During the fall of 2017, a larger version was opened in the Stark Galleries in the MSC.
