📍 NEW LOCATION + THIS THURSDAY’S PROGRAM!

Big changes are happening at the Rotary Club of College Station! Beginning Thursday, August 27, both our morning and noon meetings are permanently moving to:

🍳 Denny’s
607 Texas Ave
College Station, TX 77840

And we’re kicking off our new location with a GREAT program!

This Thursday for our NOON meeting, we’ll welcome Earl Proeger, Wealth Advisor with Grace Capital Management and fellow District 5870 Rotarian, for:

🏠 “1031 Exchanges & Smart Tax Strategies for Real Estate Owners”

Earl will break down 1031 exchanges in an easy-to-understand way, including how real estate owners can defer capital gains, transition from active landlording to more passive options, incorporate real estate into estate planning, and avoid some of the common deadlines and pitfalls that can get property owners into trouble.

If you own rental property, land, a family property, or are simply curious about how 1031 exchanges work, this should be an especially interesting conversation.

🍽️ Noon Meeting: 12:00 PM
📍 Denny’s | 607 Texas Ave, College Station

Remember: this isn’t just this week’s location — Denny’s is our new home for BOTH morning and noon meetings moving forward!

Come join us Thursday and help us kick off this new chapter for College Station Rotary! 💙💛

🐾 TOMORROW MORNING: ONE SERVICE PROJECT. TWO WAYS TO MAKE AN IMPACT. 🐾

Tomorrow, the Rotary Club of College Station is trading our regular morning program for a hands-on service project with the Aggieland Humane Society — and we love that this project gives us an opportunity to help both ends of the leash! ❤️

🏠 FIRST: Helping pets stay HOME.

The Community Pet Pantry exists to help local families who may be struggling to afford pet food and supplies. By providing that little bit of extra support, families don't have to consider surrendering a beloved pet simply because times are tough.

Aggieland Humane Society has provided food for us to portion and package tomorrow morning. Those bags will be distributed through the Community Pet Pantry and outreach efforts to families right here in our community.

And if you'd like to help us package even more, Rotarians are welcome — but absolutely not required — to bring a bag of dry dog or cat food to add to the project. 🐶🐱

🐾 SECOND: Helping pets who are already IN the shelter.

Our club is also putting our service-project funds to work! We purchased approximately $1,000 in items directly from Aggieland Humane Society's Amazon Wish List, providing needed supplies that support the shelter and the animals currently in its care.

So tomorrow's project has a pretty special reach:

❤️ We're helping people in our community care for the pets they love.

🏠 We're helping keep pets with their families and out of the shelter.

🐾 And we're supporting animals already waiting at the shelter for families of their own.

One morning. One Rotary club. Two sides of an important mission.

Now all that's missing is a room full of Rotarians ready to get to work! 🙌

🐾 The food is picked up and we are READY for Thursday! 🐾

Today Diana made a trip to the Aggieland Humane Society Community Pet Pantry to pick up the food and supplies we’ll be using for this week’s Rotary Service Project — Done in a Meeting!

Instead of our usual morning program, we’re rolling up our sleeves and spending our meeting packing bags of dry pet food to help stock the Community Pet Pantry and support local families who need a little help keeping their pets fed and at home. ❤️🐶🐱

And Rotarians — we need your help adding to this haul!

👉 Bring a bag of dry dog or cat food with you Thursday morning! Any brand and any size is welcome. We’ll package your donation right alongside the food provided by Aggieland Humane Society.

🐾 ROTARY SERVICE PROJECT — DONE IN A MEETING! 🐾

Next week, we’re turning our morning meeting into a hands-on service project benefiting the Aggieland Humane Society Community Pet Pantry!

The Pet Pantry helps local families experiencing financial hardship keep their pets fed, cared for, and right where they belong — with the families who love them. ❤️

During our meeting, Rotarians and volunteers will be putting together bags of pet food that will be delivered to Aggieland Humane Society. The Humane Society is providing supplies for us to package, and our club has also ordered items from their Amazon Wish List to donate along with the completed bags!

🐶🐱 Want to help us do even more?
We encourage Rotarians and volunteers to bring a donation of dry dog or cat food — any brand — to the meeting. We can package your donated food right alongside the supplies provided for our project.

It’s a chance to spend our regular meeting time doing exactly what Rotary is all about: Service Above Self.

Come ready to roll up your sleeves, fill some bags, and help make sure pets throughout our community have full bowls. 🐾❤️

See you next Thursday morning!

*we will personally deliver everything after the meeting for all who wish to join!

📺 Clothing for Kids made the news! 💙👕👟

We’re excited to share KBTX Media’s coverage of our annual Clothing for Kids event!

This year, the Rotary Club of College Station had the privilege of helping 52 local children start the school year with new clothes, shoes, and a little extra confidence. Seeing those smiles is exactly why this project means so much to our club. 💛

A huge thank you to KBTX for coming out and helping us share the story of Clothing for Kids and the impact our community can make when we work together.

And once again, thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who supported Lucky Duck Bingo. Your generosity is what makes projects like this possible.

To support our Christmas Clothing for Kids Event, we will be selling Pizza for a Purpose tickets (with a raffle ticket add on option) and Sponsor a Child opportunities.

🎥 Check out the video and article from KBTX below — and see what happens when a community comes together to put Service Above Self into action!

The Rotary Club of College Station gave 50 kids free clothes as they prepare to go back to school. The event is a part of the groups yearly effort to help give children new supplies before going into each semester.
