Opportunity for our students!

In partnership with , we invite students in grades 7–12 in NY, NJ, CT, and PA to participate in The Founded By NYC Student Competition.

Students are encouraged to create and submit a performance piece (e.g., a rap, poem, song, monologue) highlighting how New York City has shaped history and continues to inspire the world today.

The competition will close once 300 entries have been received or by December 15, 2025 whichever occurs first. One winning student will be selected to participate in a full-day experience, including a performance of  in New York City with their class.

We had so much fun this past weekend. HSI walked in the Homecoming parade, then hosted the reunion for HSI 2024 scholars. It was so great seeing so many familiar faces and we can't wait to see you again soon! We hope you had as fun of a Homecoming weekend as us!
