Texas 4-H Natural Resources is the home of the Shooting Sports Project, Wildlife Project, Sportfishing Project, WHEP (Wildlife Habitat Education Program) and MUCH MORE!!! The Texas 4-H Natural Resources Program offers several programs, projects and activities involving exploring and experiencing our vast natural resources within the state. Programs include 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program (W

HEP), 4-H Outdoor Challenge, 4-H Wildlife Contest, 4-H Sportfishing Program, 4-H Shooting Sports, a variety of summer camp experiences, and a variety of curriculum enrichment school programs. Dates and locations are constantly revised on the calendar and within specific program webpages.

Registration for the 2026 Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge closes TONIGHT at 11:59pm—and spots are filling up fast! Registration is strictly limited to the first 130 contestants due to space limitations at Long Acres Ranch. Once those spots are gone, they are gone!
