Last weekend Pack 60 went on an over-night adventure to the Moody Gardens Rainforest Pyramid in Galveston, TX! The scouts took a guided tour of the rainforest exhibits, learned about the nocturnal animals there, and learned a lot about the rainforest plants and animals. Our tour guides tested the scouts afterwards with a game of Rainforest Jeapordy. It was a trip to remember!

Today's Pinewood Derby was a success! Our scouts came up with very interesting designs and some of the fastest cars yet. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to all of the scouts who came out to show what they can do!

Scouting For Food is a wonderful community service project held annually to support local food banks. This morning our scouts went door to door to collect donations for the Brazos Valley Food Bank. Thank you to everyone in our community who donated 577lbs of food to them through our pack!

Our pack had a great time at Camp Bovay this weekend! Thank you to the 30 Scouts, 5 Scout siblings, and 28 parents who joined us. Our Scouts gained valuable experience in communication, teamwork, and wilderness safety. We appreciate the camp staff who put together an excellent program of STEM activities, prepared delicious meals, and put on a great Campfire program Saturday night. At the end of the day we made smores and passed out glow sticks for the kids to enjoy once the stars came out. Thank you Camp Bovay!

Happy Veterans Day!

Today we pause and give our deepest thanks to all the veterans who’ve served our country and defended the freedoms we cherish. Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed - we’re deeply grateful.

A few weeks ago, our Scout Pack 60 had a special service project. The Scouts made heartfelt greeting cards as part of the Holiday Cards for our Military Challenge, an initiative that sends messages of care and respect to active duty military, veterans, and military families.

Making those cards was a meaningful way for our Scouts to connect with our service members and say: we see you, we appreciate you, you matter.

Today, we extend that message to all of our veterans: Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. Because of you, we live in a freer, safer nation.
