Freckles and Obi seemed to be having a conversation by the side of the pond. I guess Freckles got tired of talking and just swam away. Obi seemed a bit confused how to get back across the pond, but he eventually figured it out.

It may be the 2nd day of fall, but our high today is 98 with a heat index in the triple digits! The poor piggies are so hot. They really rely on mud holes to keep them cool. Here is Rascal wallowing in the mud.

Yogi is the nicest pig. He’s so sweet and gentle. He gets along with everybody. He’s always ready scratches and belly rubs. He’s more like a dog than any of our other pigs. He was one the first pigs to call TLPS home. He and his brother Sid were actually adopted from the Aggieland Humane Society before we even closed on our property. They have been with us since the very beginning. We could not have started with two nicer pigs. ❤️🐷🥰

Obi is trying to stay cool by wallowing in the mud. It has been so hot here, triple digits for over a week. The piggies are miserable. We do everything we can to help them stay cool. We give them fresh water multiple times a day. We spray those pigs with water that like to be sprayed. The rest we try to make mud for so they can cool off. Obi is one of those that does not like to be sprayed but loves the mud. Those poor piggies. We can only hope it cools off soon. 🐷❤️🥵

Freckles is cooling off in a mud puddle I made for him. I hadn’t even put much water in it before he was in there digging around. It is really hot here! We are doing everything we can to help our pigs cool off. 🐷☀️🥵
