Introducing your Districts 7, 8, and 9 representatives on the 26-27 Texas 4-H Council! 🍀

Paysley Branham's main projects are: Food & Nutrition, Rabbits, Public Speaking, and Health & Personal Safety. She not only owns an emu, but she also has many cats (that she is allergic to)!

Olivia Bean's main projects are: Sheep, Community Service, Public Speaking, and Leadership. She is currently learning American Sign Language and her biggest fear is... pigs!

Kenzie Hobb's main activities are: Beef cattle, Livestock Judging, and activities as a Livestock Ambassador. He once drank water from a glacier in Alaska and loves a good day on the golf course.

Maddie Moore's main activities are: Beef cattle, Livestock Judging, Beef SkillAThon, and Public Speaking. She's never broken a bone and identical twins run in her family!

Olivia Davis' main projects are: Food & Nutrition, Fashion & Interior Design, Photography, and Sheep. She is (self-proclaimed) NOT a sports girly and absolutely despises the coast and the ocean.

Lani Duncan's main projects are: Veterinary Science, Photography, Rabbits, and Sheep. She loves to quilt and was born right in the center of downtown Houston!

This summer, 19 Texas 4-H Fashion & Interior Design Ambassadors took on Paris, France for an immersive and educational experience in one of the world’s leading centers for fashion and design.

Ambassadors explored Paris’s most famous landmarks from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre Museum. They participated in exclusive tours at the Parisian haute couture, including visits to 13M Chanel and the House of Dior. Through immersive experiences—exploring legendary museums, creating art, and visiting historic districts—students gained a richer understanding of French culture, history, and the creative landscape of Paris.

Through each activity, the 4-H trip inspired participants' passion for fashion and design, encouraging creativity and cultural appreciation that will benefit their personal and professional growth. Thank you to the 11 adults and five chaperones that joined our ambassadors on this trip of a lifetime.

Camp County exemplifies what it means to pledge our hands to larger service! While on the way to Shooting Sports State Games last month, Camp County 4-H members found themselves stuck in the middle of the Hill Country storms. Unable to leave, they chose to jump into action and serve those around them through the distribution of meals and water.

Members of the team were recognized by Pittsburgh City Council for their selflessness and compassion in a time of uncertainty. We are proud of their efforts! The 2026 Texas 4-H Pacific Agricultural Experience took 35 Texas 4-H Livestock, Equine and Poultry Ambassadors on an 11-day educational experience across four states: California, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. The trip was designed to give students a firsthand look at the incredible diversity of agriculture and natural resources across the pacific northwest, and it sure didn’t disappoint!

Throughout the experience, Ambassadors explored an impressive range of agricultural industries and production systems from strawberry harvest and oyster farming in California to timber processing and national and international hay exports in Washington and Idaho.

The experience concluded in Alaska, where students explored agriculture and natural resource management in an environment very different from Texas.
Ambassadors visited the Large Animal Research Station to learn about muskoxen, reindeer, and wood bison. They also gained knowledge on salmon spawning, Alaska flour production, and yak and dairy operations. The trip ended with a beautiful 26 Glacier Cruise through Prince William Sound.

This trip allowed students to understand just how different agriculture can look across the United States. Students saw firsthand how regulations, climate, geography, natural resources, markets, and consumer demand influence what producers raise, how they manage their operations, and how agricultural products ultimately reach consumers. More than anything, the experience encouraged the Ambassadors to think bigger about agriculture and their own role as future leaders and advocates for the industry.
