TWDB’s Water Weekly: The latest map for conditions as of April 28 shows the fourth consecutive weekly decrease in drought area across the state—but this most recent weekly decline was the smallest of the four. With widespread rain in late April and early May, we can expect a larger decline on next week’s map. https://bit.ly/TexasWaterWeekly

Official rainfall total of 1.5 inches last Friday May 1 means sprinklers can stay OFF this week! Proper watering keeps your turf healthy and protects the aquifer we rely on.

April did us well for rainfall, but the first week did most of the heavy lifting. Throw in May 1st's ~1.5" and we're off to a great start!

And finally…after how many months? Parts of the BV WaterSmart area are seeing some rain. 👏

The latest map shows an increase in drought area, the seventh weekly increase in the last 9 weeks. Without additional precipitation, a quarter of the state could succumb to drought conditions. The latest map is available at https://ow.ly/Q3C250XC0tk.
