REMINDER: Trans Day of Visibility event at the Unitarian Universalist Church (I promise they are not that kind of church they are nothing but love and peace) on Sunday, March 29th from 4-7pm! There will be a few trans/nb owned vendors, some resources that are allies to the community, and a clothes sale with suggested donation! All funds for this will go directly to purchasing gender affirming products! Hope to see you there!

Hey Y'all! Spontaneous Nature Walk on March 15th at Lick Creek Park in South College Station! This current administration is bogging us down and one of the best ways to decompress is to get some daylight and greenery! Join me at Lick Creek Park this Sunday; I'll be there at 8:30am and will start walking at 9am.

Come vent or not vent, there's no forced structure or schedule. Just come get to know your fellow trans and nb siblings and find support with each other. Allies are welcome as long as you come with peace and love, and leave space for our trans community to voice their feelings!

Seeking Volunteers for Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR)!
Join us this Thursday, November 20th at 6:30pm, as we honor the lives lost to anti-trans violence. We need support for the following roles:
- Setup
- Cleanup
- Storytellers (details online)
- Potluck Contributors
Sign up is quick and easy! Use the QR code in our post image or visit our website at pridecc.org/bvtdor/ to choose your role and volunteer your time!

If you don't want to volunteer then you can still come and honor our lost siblings. If you do want to be a story teller but are not able to research any of the people who have passed then we will have some already prepared.

Hey y'all River here!!

As always the Pride Community Center Gala was amazing, had a great time seeing everyone there! I also wanted to give a big big shoutout to Allison Weaver Faber, Kiya Heartwood, John Faber and all the members of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Brazos Valley (The UU)

Last year, the UU selected the Trans Joy Project as one of the programs/orgs to donate their pot to. We have just been awarded the funds and am so honored, excited and moved to receive this contribution! Thanks to the UU and all its members, we will be able to invest in gender affirming items such as binders, gaffs, packers etc!

That being said keep an eye out because we will soon put out application requests for these items! Also keep an eye out for possible garage sales where all funds will go to the Trans Joy Project! If you would like to donate your money or time please reach out because help and ideas are always welcome!

Remember you are loved and beautiful! ❤️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

To our trans siblings, let's not panic. This is not law and it may not become law. Now is the time to speak out against this, and our allies now is the time to truly show your allyship. Call your representatives, let them know you are against this proposed bill!

This would be an absolute violation of rights to our trans community.

We deserve your advocacy to the fullest, now more than ever. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

We deserve your advocacy to the fullest, now more than ever. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

it’s trans awareness week (11/13-11/19), also known as trans action week leading up to trans day of remembrance. this is a reminder that trans folks deserve more than just your awareness!

want to help the trans community directly? cover a trans person's meal at megemikoart.com. we've been able to cover over 200 meals, but we have over 500 sign ups and lots of hungry trans folks who need to eat.

if you've signed up for a meal, thank you for your patience. i've been reaching out to folks for their payment info and sending out funds as donations come in. 🩷🏳️‍⚧️

Happy National Coming Out Day from the Trans Joy Project! 🥰🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Few things to remember:
1. You do NOT have to come out for your gender identity or sexuality to be valid
2. Come out when YOU are ready! Your coming out is your own- nobody has the right to take it from you or rush you into it.
3. Coming out can be scary. Sometimes, having a plan can help. Have a safety net, a safe place to go in case you are no longer safe with the people you come out to. Coming out over phone or letter might give everyone time to reflect. Coming out at work means knowing your rights as an employee if you deal with discrimination. Etc
4. REMEMBER You are so so so loved and accepted by an entire community! You're not alone! ❤️🩷🤍🩵

Texas A&M University's decision to end gender affirming care for their students is harmful and unfair. Cutting the funding entirely, limits the options available to students who need this care.

Currently, there are very few local primary care providers in the Bryan-College Station area that provide gender-affirming care. All of which have a waitlist and no appointment availability for months, and not every student can drive miles away for this care. This puts anybody receiving hormone therapy at risk of missing out on regular medication doses. Furthermore, some students rely on this care from the student health service because not every student has family health insurance (which already limits transgender care). Those that do have family health insurance might not be able to use it because they risk outing themselves to their family, or have not been allowed to use it because it is gender affirming care.

The decision to end gender affirming care from the A&M student health services is a poor decision. This care provided by the health services provided these ADULTS with the gender affirming care they want and need, and taking it away makes an already difficult system even harder to navigate as a transgender individual.

Students impacted by the decision received notification Monday via an email from the university.
