Calling all Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts!

Join Troop 383 for a fun morning of fishing while working on your Fishing Adventure! Scouts may attend individually or with their pack. Ribbons will be awarded for the largest fish, smallest fish, most fish caught, and more!

Check-in at 9:30 a.m. | Fishing from 10 a.m.–noon
Free registration
Register by September 21

Please bring your own fishing rod and bait. A limited number of spare rods will be available, and all fish will be catch and release.

Arrowmoon Alumni Update!

Good Friday Morning!!!

This Friday’s Firefighter is James Cauthen.

James joined our department last year. James has attended TEEX Fire School to receive his TCFP-Texas Commission on Fire Protection certification and attended Lone Star College Emergency Medical Technician course, where he also passed his National Registry.

James regularly picks up shifts with our duty crew during the day and when the pager goes off at night, he’s one of the first ones to pull up to the station.
James also serves alongside his Father, Billy Cauthen, who has given Crabb’s Prairie a great deal of his time helping others within our department.

Arrowmoon District is proud to congratulate Matthew P. of Troop 383 in Bryan on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout!

The Eagle Scout rank is the culmination of years of hard work, service, leadership, adventure, and dedication. Reaching this milestone is no small accomplishment, and Matthew should be incredibly proud of everything he has achieved along the way.

We also celebrate the family, fellow Scouts, and adult leaders who supported and encouraged Matthew throughout his Scouting journey.

Please join us in congratulating Eagle Scout Matthew P. on this outstanding achievement! We look forward to seeing how he continues to lead and serve in the years ahead.

Patrol? PLC? Scouter? Chartered organization? Advancement? Sometimes it can feel like Scouting has a language all its own!

Whether you’re a new parent, new volunteer, or experienced Scouter who comes across an unfamiliar term, the Language of Scouting is a great resource to keep handy.

It provides definitions for hundreds of Scouting terms and can also help with abbreviations, acronyms, capitalization, titles, and the proper terminology used throughout Scouting.
