Last Friday night, the Texas A&M Hispanic Network familia came together for a truly special “Evening with the Chancellor” — an intimate gathering that reflected the strength, pride, and purpose of our community.
We were honored to welcome Chancellor Glenn Hegar ’93 and to create a space for meaningful dialogue about the future of the Texas A&M University System. Our president, Monica Menzel ’93, delivered a powerful message about why our mission of the Texas A&M Hispanic Network matters: expanding meaningful access, strengthening belonging, and ensuring that more Hispanic students see themselves at Texas A&M — not just as applicants, but as future Aggies whose identities and aspirations align with our core values.
This event was a reminder of what happens when aspiration becomes identity — and how transformational the Aggie experience can be when students feel seen, supported, and connected to a community that reflects them.
A heartfelt thank‑you to Kelli A. Dozier and Khalid Alrashed for hosting and generously sponsoring this evening. Their State Farm agencies made this gathering possible, and their commitment to supporting students and strengthening our network is deeply appreciated.
Moments like this move our mission forward. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to continuing this important work together.
Gracias & Gig'em!
