The TAMU Postdoctoral Association is an organization of postdocs and umbrella for other PDA Chapters. https://tx.ag/FBUsagePolicy

The Texas A&M Postdoctoral Association (PDA) is an organization of Postdoctoral Scholars (“Postdocs”) for Postdocs. The Texas A&M PDA is the umbrella organization for all other PDA Chapters, and is supported by the Division of Research (DOR). The Texas A&M PDA works closely with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA), which is housed within the Division of Research (DOR). The mission of the Texas A&M Postdoctoral Association (PDA) shall be to foster a sense of community among the postdoctoral scholars, promote networking, support their professional development, advocate and represent the voices of the postdoctoral scholars, and to improve the quality of the postdoctoral experience at Texas A&M. The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) is hosting an upcoming webinar for postdocs interested in learning more about pathways through O-1A, EB-1A, and EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) petitions:

🌎💬 Postdoc voices at the Global Engagement Symposium!

Last week, two of our postdocs—Pierre Hirchenhahn (Chemistry) and Sapna Bisht (Biomedical Engineering)—represented the international postdoctoral community on the panel “We Are All Aggies: Supporting International Students and Scholars,” part of the Global Engagement Symposium organized by TAMU Global Engagement.

The panel brought international students and scholars together to share their experiences at Texas A&M, discuss the support and resources that have contributed to their success, identify opportunities for growth, and explore how we can continue building a more welcoming and inclusive environment for our international community. 🌍🤝

👏 A huge thank you to Pierre and Sapna for sharing their experiences and perspectives and, importantly, for making sure postdoctoral voices were represented in this campus-wide conversation.

International postdocs are an essential part of Texas A&M’s research and academic community, and we’re grateful to have postdocs like Pierre and Sapna willing to speak up, share their experiences, and help strengthen our community for those who are here today and those who will come after them. 💙

The postdoctoral experience has changed tremendously over the past century and a half, but there is still plenty of work to be done.
