Texas 4-H Council

Texas 4-H Council To Make the Best Better In 1950, the inaugural Texas 4-H Youth Council was established.

Presently, the Council comprises 30 youth who are elected by their peers statewide, representing the twelve AgriLife Extension districts, along with an additional six At-Large Delegates elected by any Senior level 4-H member in Texas. Functioning as ambassadors for the Texas 4-H program, these council members undertake the responsibility of representing the organization at a state level. They work

in tandem with Extension faculty to strategize, organize, and execute a diverse range of activities and events.

We welcomed back Texas 4-H Council Alum for our 75th Anniversary celebration last Tuesday during Texas 4-H Roundup. We had a chance to Explore our Roots with this group and hear stories from their time on Council. Ms Gayle Hall even joined via FaceTime. Swipe to the last photo to see all the Council members Ms Gayle had the opportunity to mentor as an Advisor. We had a great turnout and took photos by decades of the groups in attendance.

A huge congratulations and thank you to the 2025–2026 Texas 4-H Council for the outstanding job they did throughout Roundup!

Last July, this team accepted a challenge: to create an assembly experience and overall Roundup atmosphere that was fun, engaging, and full of energy. They embraced that challenge wholeheartedly and delivered beyond expectations.

From the moment participants stepped onto the Green Carpet, to the excitement of the Clover Cup competitions, spirit nights, audience engagement, and countless behind-the-scenes details, this Council worked tirelessly to create an experience that celebrated the very best of Texas 4-H.

This year, you truly brought the Roundup theme to life:
Explore Your Roots – You honored the traditions, values, and rich history of Texas 4-H while creating experiences that reminded members of the foundation that connects us all.
Explore Your Brand – You encouraged members to showcase their individuality, talents, leadership, and passions, helping them recognize the unique impact they can make in their clubs, communities, and beyond.
Explore Your Horizon – You inspired 4-H'ers to dream big, embrace new opportunities, build new connections, and look ahead to the endless possibilities that await them through leadership, education, and service.

Their creativity, leadership, teamwork, and enthusiasm helped make Roundup more than just a contest event, it became a place where memories were made, friendships were strengthened, and 4-H pride was on full display.

Thank you, 2025-2026 Texas 4-H Council members, for the hours of planning, preparation, and dedication you invested throughout the year. Your passion for serving others was evident in every aspect of the event, and the impact you made will be remembered by thousands of Texas 4-H members.

Texas 4-H is proud of each of you.

Congratulations to our 2026-2027 Texas 4-H Council At-Large Delegates.
