La Villita Chapter held their President's Day luncheon, inviting the William Scott and Come and Take it chapters, as well as the local SAR Independence Chapter #40 to hear Texas A&M's Jackson Baker '25 and '27 (whoop!) discuss his work finding and identifying missing Aggie soldiers. Ranging from World War II through the Vietnam war, this young man has already assisted in identifying over 200 POW and MIA Aggies. Shown below are some of the attendees who thoroughly enjoyed this fabulous program.

The January 1 Rose Bowl Parade included the America 250 Committee entry - Soaring Onward Together - focusing on celebrating America's semiquincentennial birthday in 2026. The three eagles symbolize America's past present, and future. The eagles had four acts of motion and reached 30 feet in the air, with America soaring on together. What is your New Year resolution to help La Villita "soar"? The float won the Leishman Public Spirit Award - most outstanding from a non - commercial entry.

Find Your Revolutionary Ancestors and celebrate America's Semiquincentennial. From America250 - "This Thanksgiving, as we gather with loved ones, we're reminded of the stories that shape us - moments of resilience, kindness, service, and community." National America250 asks what does America mean to you? Share your own American story. "... Let's honor our past, celebrate the present, and come together to shape the future." La Villita America 250 Committee invites members to share their Patriot's Story and honor their service for America's freedoms.

Constitution Week, September 17-23, was celebrated by La Villita Chapter. Regent Leonora O. met with the Brazos County Commissioners Court on Sept 16, 2025. Pictured L-R: Bentley Nettles-Pct 1, Chuck Konderla-Pct 2, Acting County Judge Karl Kacal, Fred Brown-Pct 3, La Villita DAR Regent Leonora O, Wanda Watson-Pct 4, Jane C, and Sharron R. Regent O also presented a Constitution Week poster for display at the Commissioners Court.

Constitution Week included a chapter luncheon on Sept 20, with Dr. Dwight Roblyer, TAMU Professor, Bush School of Government and Public Service.

The College Station City Council proclamation was done Sept 11.

La Villita sponsored a display in September at Ringer Library. The Constitution Week display recognized the framers and signers of the U.S. Constitution, prepared by Will MacDonald, grade 12, Aggieland High School. Bookmarks were available on the Constitution at an adjacent table.
