HOWDY and GOoD morning!! Yesterday was my first time EVER doing Prayer Bench .... AND. I. LOVED. IT.
Sister Tatum and I were going to be outside, but we were standing in front of the Seal on Military Walk and were like: “Yeah nah let’s go somewhere inside”😂 so we went to the MSC!! In there, we prayed for some pretty incredible people but this one girl .... oh WOW. She’s always been really hard on herself and she’s beenstruggling recently on the way she sees herself. WELL. What did she do? She PRAYED: “Jesus, how do You see me?” (LIKE COME ON WHOA😲) Then, she said, that that SAME night, at HEB, two men approached her and asked how she
was doing. She said: “I’m doing good.” And they were like: “What?? Not fantastic??” And she goes: “I guess so yeah.” And THEY said: “WELL I THINK YOU’RE AWESOME!!! Have a GOoD night!” And as they left, she literally was like: “Okay bye Jesus thanks!”SUCH an incredible first time! I hope y’all enjoyed that story!

Here's a glory story, shout out to for stepping out of her comfort zone
//
I was just at the Starbucks and this lady came up to me in my car and was so kind. She was asking for gas money and said she was having a really bad day. I leave my cash at home, so I searched my car and only found a dollar:/ I gave it to her and asked her if she wanted me to pray for her. She said yes and we prayed in the parking lot. She didn’t give me her name, but please pray for this woman! She was so thankful.
Ps shoutout to prayer bench! I never would have done something like this before I
joined this org, being as shy as I am! Praise God for His generosity and the gift of confidence in the Holy Spirit! This organization is seriously so so fruitful. We are so blessed!! Thank y’all for making this world more beautiful!

Small things matter. What motivates me to do things? Is it the impact that my effort is going to make? What makes me study? What makes me get up early in the morning? Is it just because it makes me feel less stressed? Is it because of the expectation of others, social pressure?
“Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life” (John 6,27). Jesus, help me. You give all without expecting return, you endured the Cross even when the wind and sea obey you. Out of pure love, you become Bread that is broken and given away to bring everyone to Communion.
//
By looking at Jesus our hearts are transformed, our cross becomes an opportunity to love God, especially when our efforts don’t have the impact we would like. Often we would like God to just give us the food that perishes. God gives us the Bread of Life, Himself, His Love. Because more amazing than the ability to calm a storm or to multiply food is the ability to endure a Cross out of Love, not out of social pressure, not out of just ‘feeling’ better with yourself, but because you desire the Good for others, you desire what God desires, you desire the Bread that that endures for eternal life.
//
You can only desire this Bread if you taste and contemplate it. “Taste and see the Goodness of the Lord”. (Psalms 34,9). This is how we become what we contemplate. It is not something to get, but to receive, because this Bread is Jesus giving Himself. But you can only receive if you seek. You can only seek if you believe in Jesus.
The people thought they had to do something ‘for’ God to receive a food that perishes, they asked Jesus what God wanted them to do. Jesus said “That you believe in the one he sent.” Don't think you can do anything 'for' God. Believe in Jesus, seek Him in prayer today, contemplate and let your heart be impacted by the taste of His Love… Only then you will be ready to do your duties in tune with His Heart, desiring the Bread of Life. What you do doesn’t give you your identity, it is when you discover your identity in relationship with Jesus when you can do amazing things, because you become what you contemplate.
