Meet MANGO!!! Our newest rescue. She’s a blind Bradford (Brahman X Hereford) calf. She was initially being raised for slaughter but was surrendered to us after a very sweet family member reached out. Kiwi now has two blind ladies following him around and he’s not mad about it 🥰

Tippy Update🥰
He’s doing well!! He’s up more on his own . Going on outside walks with Shayla 🐑 His infected feet are also showing signs of improvemen. He has a way to go but so far good progress😊❤️

Tippy is happily grazing!

For those asking his story- Tippy was born with some congenital deformity. He never received any treatment or care and continued to grow more deformed over his short life. He’s only 2! His hooves developed multiple abscesses that sat there for at least a year untreated leading to a bone infection of his two front feet. He could hardly walk. He was severely underweight. Neighbors noticed him laying down frequently and eventually somebody got in contact with us.

We immediately got a farrier out there (thank you Sofia❤️) who did amazing work literally sawing off that overgrown hoof and giving him semblance of actual hooves. We took him AND SHAYLA the sheep home. Made him his own pen with Shayla. He had an initial visit at Texas A&M and went back in last week for surgery on all 4 of his tendons and debriedment and washout of his infected hooves. His emotional support sheep is there too!! He will have an extended stay likely requiring another procedure, lots of therapy but so far so good. We are hopeful that he can live a pain free happy life ❤️
