This past weekend we attended the Texas Delta Waterfowl regional and state meetings. Chapters come together once a year for a weekend of camaraderie and to talk about current events, projects, and policy related waterfowl conservation. This year we took home the award for the chapter with the highest net revenue. Thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters that made this possible. Let's hold the #1 spot in 2027!

Who is ready for a SOLD OUT event tonight? We are busy getting the venue set up. Looking forward to a great night of fellowship and fun in the name of waterfowl conservation. Doors open at 5pm and dinner will be served starting around 6:30. See you there!

We are in the final preparations for our 5th annual banquet this Friday 3/27/26. Doors open at 5pm and dinner will be served around 6:30pm. Adult beverages will be served, as well as a cash bar for something a little stronger. We have close to 40 cordless hole punchers that will go home with some lucky winners. Live auction, silent auction, games, and lots of raffles, some with" winner takes all" packages. Try your luck on the poker chip raffle game, where the first winner will have their choice of a Henry Hush rifle or a classic Louis Vuitton handbag! We have been working hard to be the best conservation organization event in the area. Come join us for the event you don't want to miss!

Delta Waterfowl has received a $100,000 grant from Safari Club International Foundation to support the University Hunting Program in 2026. This continued partnership, which began in 2024, focuses on educating wildlife management students about hunting, conservation, and the role hunters play in the future of wildlife management.

The University Hunting Program is available to students at more than 140 colleges and universities across the United States and Canada. Participants learn how hunting fits into wildlife management through hunter education, shooting skills days, mentored hunts, and hands-on experiences that connect conservation principles to real-world practice.

By introducing more students to hunting, the program helps build understanding among future wildlife professionals and encourages continued participation in conservation and the hunting tradition.
