TIMSS 2020 - Postponed due to COVID-19

Dear all,

We've been monitoring the COVID-19 situation and how its been affecting the world, the country, the state of Texas and ultimately the city of Bryan/College Station.

Our top priority is to make sure that the event will be hosted at its full potential and in a safe environment for all participants.

Unfortunately, we received a memo from the university requesting the suspension of all university events with more than 50 people and/or that include out-of-town participants, at least until the situation is under control.

To prevent hosting a lesser version of such an event, for which we've been working for almost a year now (since May 2019), we've decided to postpone the event to a date TBD.

Ultimately, we want to make sure that, when the time comes, TIMSS 2020 will be hosted running on all cylinders!

Please be safe, keep yourself updated by following the news from official health sources and make sure you follow all precautions instructed.

We'll get through this together and we hope to see you very soon at TIMSS 2020!

Best regards,

TIMSS 2020 COMMITTEE BOARD

Finally, there will be two guest lectures provided by Dr. Zachary Grasley and Dr. Anand Puppala, who are both Chair Professors at Texas A&M University.

We would like to thank all the participants present in the Fall 2019 Research Groups Conference hosted at the Center for Infrastructure Renewal on Nov 15th. The event was a success and the feedback provided by the attendees showed the importance of this event in enhancing the learning experience of all students involved. Sharing different approaches in common topics allowed students to improve or enrich their current research studies.
