I have just finished fundraising for MEOR so I can't really reach out to people directly for this.

However, I also CAN'T NOT share this since it just came to my attention.

One of my favorite places in Israel is the שביל הסלט THE SALAD TRAIL - it's an amazing oasis of beauty and innovation, literally making the desert bloom. They produce the most delicious cherry tomatoes I've ever eaten, and the hottest peppers that my college students always challenge themselves to keep down.

Also, they have this amazing collection of homing pigeons, which visitors get to hold and release on their tour.

Salad Trail became a very popular destination for Taglit-Birthright Israel groups, of which I have led many.

It's truly incredible what my friend Uri Alon has created there over the years. (I also had the chance to interview Uri a few years back for my podcast: https://jewsyoushouldknow.libsyn.com/episode-062-the-salad-trail-founder-a-conversation-with-uri-alon )

He is just 5 miles from Gaza and his farm - normally a massive tourist destination - now lies fallow, and visitor-free. It is at great risk of financial collapse.
