Yuva UMD Yuva, formerly Students Council of India, is a registered Graduate Students Organization at University of Maryland, College Park, active since 1999.

UMD Yuva is a registered graduate students' organization at the University of Maryland, College Park. Yuva is a revamp of Student Council of India (SCI), established in 1999. Since its inception, UMD Yuva has been very active, growing in size and stature with each passing year. Yuva's primary objective is to serve the graduate student community at UMD and promote interaction among them. UMD Yuva o

rganizes cultural events, celebrates festivals of India, screens Indian movies and host sports events in an attempt to create a fun-filled environment at UMD, at the same time introducing various facades of Indian culture and traditions. UMD Yuva devotes maximum efforts in helping the new and incoming Indian students. Airport Pick-ups & Temporary Accomodation:

Every Year, UMD Yuva provides airport pick-ups and temporary accommodation for all the incoming students to help them start their journey in the Unites States in an easy manner.

Hi everyone,
Congratulations on getting accepted into UMD. This year we are scheduling our pre-arrival webinar on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 from 7.00 PM IST onwards. As it has been a while since we have been interacting and answering to numerous questions on whatsapp and facebook, now we think it’s the apt time that you all hear our voices and clear any sort of uncertainty with respect to your arrival and stay in the United States.

Every year some of the general doubts have been on housing options, on-campus jobs, various types of insurance policies that students prefer here and job scenario. This year too we are very sure everyone would love to discuss things on the same lines. We request you all to accumulate your doubts and shoot them at us.

In the past hours since we posted the webinar timings and link, we have recieved multiple requests from students and a few parents to reschedule to another day or time slot.

YUVA attempts to serve students to the best of it's ability and we wish to accommodate as many people as possible hence we will re-schedule the webinar to another day this week.
