This past Sunday, MEC members visited the Gentle Giants Draft Rescue () to volunteer and had such a great time lending a helping hand. 

Gentle Giants Horse Rescue is dedicated to saving draft horses from various situations such as abuse, neglect, and slaughter. They also provide temporary homes for horses whose owners can no longer care for them or who did not fit in at their previous homes. 

Our members got the opportunity to bathe two incredible horses: Bernie, a new addition to the rescue 3rd slide), and Harlem, an ambassador for Gentle Giants (2nd slide).

During our visit, we were also reunited with Clifford the big red horse (4th slide), who now has a best friend named Celine (5th slide)! We also got the chance to see celebrity Phantom, their tallest horse ambassador at the rescue! (6th slide)!

Thank you to everyone who donated and showed their incredible support! 🙏 We are thrilled to announce that due to your generosity, we were able to raise an extra $500 for MEC! 🎉 It’s all thanks to the incredible community we have behind us.

Meet Tex, the newest addition to our equine crew! 🎉 Hailing all the way from the Lone Star State, Tex brings a bit of Texas charm to our farm community! 🤠🐎 He is a stunning chestnut Quarter Horse with a unique pattern called bird catcher spots!

Saddle up, because as the Spring Semester gallops in, so does the excitement at the Maryland Equestrian Club! 🐴✨

Our first General Body Meeting (GBM) will be on January 30th from 7-8pm in ANSC 0408.

Our New Member Meeting will be on February 8th from 7-8pm in ANSC 0412.

🤝🐎 This is your chance to learn more about the club, its activities, and how you can become a member!
