“Together We Rise” is a live painting created at the Rise Up Summit on Friday, September 12th, Day 2.

Inspired by conversations about gumbo, the many abstract colors in the background represent the diverse experiences and perspectives brought into the room.

The hands in the middle can be interpreted as a “dap” greeting, a holding of a hand, or a mutual supporting of each other. With our varying perspectives and diversity, we find the strength to rise, together.

We’re honored to open this year’s conference with a community screening of Sing Sing. This free Community Screening will be shown virtually on Sunday September 7th, at 7:00 PM EST/6:00 PM CST.
