๐ŸŒ World Environment Day | Climate Solutions Rooted in Justice ๐ŸŒ

Real climate solutions start with people:
๐ŸŒฑ Community-led action
๐Ÿ’ง Water justice for all
๐ŸŒพ Sustainable, local food systems
๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฟ Feminist leadership
๐ŸŒฟ Nature-based solutions
๐Ÿค Partnerships grounded in solidarity
Across communities, people are already leading the way โ€” with knowledge, care, and resilience shaped by lived experience.
This World Environment Day, we stand with them.
Because equitable solutions are the ones that last.

๐ŸŒฟ Guardians of the Forest ๐ŸŒฟ
In villages across North Bengal, Indigenous communities have nurtured deep, reciprocal relationships with the forest for generations, protecting biodiversity while sustaining their cultures and livelihoods. We stand in solidarity with their efforts to secure legal forest rights, affirming that those closest to the land are best placed to care for it.
At the same time, our partners are creating vibrant learning centers where children can learn in the languages they feel most at home in, education that reflects their lived experiences and affirms their identity. Through art and creative expression, children are finding joy, voice, and agency as they grow into confident leaders of tomorrow.
When communities lead - whether in protecting forests or shaping education - sustainable, just futures become possible. ๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŒ World Menstrual Health Day | Centering dignity, breaking stigma

Today, on World Menstrual Health Day, we stand in solidarity with girls, women, and all people who menstruate - uplifting their voices, rights, and leadership in shaping a more just and equitable world.
Weโ€™re honored to highlight our AID partner, Savera Foundation, who organized an important community celebration bringing together adolescent girls, boys, and other community members. Together, they created a space to challenge stigma, build understanding, and foster a supportive environment where everyone can participate with dignity.
By engaging the whole community, especially young people, this initiative reflects a deeper truth: sustainable change happens when knowledge is shared, harmful norms are questioned, and collective responsibility is embraced.
At its heart, menstrual health is about equity, agency, and access - ensuring that no one is held back from education, opportunity, or wellbeing due to stigma or lack of resources.
We celebrate the leadership of Savera Foundation and the communities who continue to drive change from within. ๐Ÿ’œ
