Grazing permittees, heads up - there’s a roundtable May 4th in Grand Junction, CO as well as elsewhere across the country.

The Public Lands Council (PLC) invites grazing permittees to a series of roundtables this spring to discuss federal lands grazing issues. The roundtable will bring together permittees and lessees with leadership from the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management to increase dialogue and on-the-ground problem-solving for grazing issues, in fulfillment of the USDA/DOI Grazing Industry Plan released by the Departments last fall.

Please RSVP in advance for further information ahead of the roundtable.

RSVP Link: https://forms.gle/NyMX1MAcPE53WjAL7 or call the CCA office at 303-431-6422.

PVCW educate and serve beef for Safety Fair, an annual event at Plateau Valley School!!!

In between teaching PV’s Youth about Ranchers efforts to keep our cattle safe like vaccinations, tagging and branding; we served sloppy joes, chips, cookies & water to participants willing to take student groups around, as well as, those teaching about safety in their fields!

Thank you Brandi’s Kitchen for doing the desserts!

PVCW educate and serve beef once again for reading buddies family night, an annual event to kick off March’s National Reading Month!!

It takes a group of us cattlewomen to get this done from the cooking, to getting food in the school, to serving, helping educate and doing a craft! What a fun night!!!

Thank you Mountain High Pie for doing the desserts!

New research questions Yellowstone wolf “mega-cascade” narrative — Utah State and Colorado State scientists say claims of 1,500% willow growth following wolf reintroduction relied on circular modeling and sampling errors. The findings support more modest, localized predator impacts rather than ecosystem-wide transformation, underscoring the complexity of managed wildlife systems and the need for rigorous evidence when evaluating conservation interventions. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2026/02/260212025612.htm
