🎄 Merry Christmas!🎄
We hope your holidays are full of joy and family. Thank you for all support this year—we couldn’t do it without you! We can’t wait to see you next year at parades and our legendary breakfast (because nothing says “community” like pancakes and syrup).

Quick reminder: December is the champion of home fires. So please, don’t burn that Christmas Dinner and keep your candles away from the curtains. Fire safety isn’t just a suggestion—it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

And while you’re enjoying the holidays, spare a thought for the heroes working through the holidays—our first responders, law enforcement, and dispatchers—keeping everyone safe.

We are hoping to celebrate with our families but if your holiday celebrations take a turn, call 911 and we will be there!

Stay merry, stay safe, and remember: Santa isn’t the only one watching—your smoke detector is too. 🔥🎅

The fire danger is high today and is expected to remain high until we get some moisture. A fire danger of HIGH means wildfires ignite easily, spread rapidly and can be challenging to control.

DNR Burning Permit Restrictions
Due to fire weather conditions, burning is not allowed today. All DNR-issued burning permits are suspended. Burning in barrels, debris piles, and grass or wooded areas with your DNR annual burning permit is prohibited.

As we move into late-fall conditions with dry vegetation and changing weather, it’s a good time to refresh fire-safety habits:

âś… Avoid open burns unless you have a permit (where required) and safe conditions
âś… Clear leaves, brush, and dry materials from around homes and structures
âś… Use caution with grills, fire pits, and burn barrels
✅ Stay aware of changing conditions — wind and low humidity can increase fire risk quickly
âś… Always check with the Wisconsin DNR or local authorities before burning

A little prevention goes a long way. Stay safe and thank you for helping keep our community protected!
