Colfax Art Walk Presented by the Colfax Art Walk Committee, PlacerArts and Sierra Vista Arts, Colfax Art Walks featu

The Colfax Art Walk came into being to promote Colfax businesses and Sierra Foothills artists to the larger Foothills community. The members of the Art Walk committee, along with PlacerArts and the Sierra Vista Art Center, recognized that the conjunction of art and businesses could serve the greater needs of the Colfax community not only by increasing local revenues but also by increasing the awareness amongst the wider Foothills community of exceptionally talented artists.

Hello Folks, I hope you're having a wonderful day and looking forward to enjoy cooler Fall temperatures. Please join me this weekend (10 AM -5 PM both days) when the streets of Colfax, CA, will return to the days of the 1860s, celebrating the important role Colfax played in the construction of the Transcontinental Railway.
Be sure to swing by my Art Booth at the end North Main Street near the the delicious food vendors. I will be handing out Guide Books for the Placer Artists Tour and displaying my recent Train Painting titled "Number 9 Rolling into Colfax" along with many other Original Watercolor Paintings, Fine Art Prints, and Collector Greeting Cards.
You might also like to observe one of the Painting demonstrations that I'll be doing at my Art Exhibit throughout the day.
There will be lots food, great music, and and other Arts & Crafts vendors. Still, more importantly, there will be 1860s re-enactors, displays from the Native Sons of the Golden West, the Mormon Militia, full-size rolling stock from Union Pacific, model train displays, and street performers bringing back the days of sh***un weddings, gunfights in the streets, bank robberies, saloon girls and snake oil salesmen.
Saturday morning at 10 AM there will be a POW/MIA Moment of Remembrance and on Sunday there will be a Classic/Antique Car Show right across fom my booth at the end of Noth Main Street.
Railroad Days is the largest, most exciting event in Colfax, California. Hours for both days are 10 AM - 5 PM. This historic festival is immersed with Educational Fun for the entire family, which includes:
Union Pacific Railroad Display
Artist Exhibits
Model Train Display
Craft Vendors
Old West Gunfight Enactments
Music
Food & Refreshments

I look forward to seeing you Soon,
Nick Vogt
