Let’s all send well wishes and positive thoughts to Taylor Cross and Addison Kerwin. Tonight they will be representing the clubs values at the Iowa State Fair Cowgirl Queen competition. We know you both will represent the club with honor and pride and cannot wait to watch you exhibit your equine partners.

I’m so proud of the accomplishments from my group this year. Each and every member has grown in the horsemanship, courage, public speaking skills, and being a kind citizen. Leaving you girls is one of the hardest decisions I have ever made!
Enjoy some photos of their accomplishments at county fair and then some photos of our water balloon/mud fight to end our year out.

Members: practice tomorrow (7/29)

Tomorrow is the last meeting of the year. You do NOT need your horse(s) for this last one. You are more than welcome to bring them and ride before or after, but I have some fun activities planned that do not involve our equine pals.

Remember to bring an extra set of clothes!! (Maybe a towel or 2 😉)

I also would like to get a group photo of everyone with their awards/prizes from county fair. Please bring anything you won during fair time so we can do a group photo!

I would love to get a group picture with you all holding your ribbons and awards from Friday! Please plan to meet 30 minutes after we get back from the parade on Monday. No horses please as it’ll be a big group, and they have to be put up before the public comes over from the parade. Bring all your ribbons and awards!

Jasper County 4-H/FFA Equine Exhibitors/Members! If you plan to ride in the parade on Monday, read the important information below!
1) meeting at 5:30pm on the southeast corner of the arena by the campers/road there
2) MUST HAVE: proper riding equipment, jeans, boots, HELMET REQUIRED, and 4-H/FFA T-shirt OR long sleeve button up
3) you MAY walk and lead your horse if you are uncomfortable riding OR you may just walk with us 🙂

Meeting is canceled tonight! From what I’m hearing, our regular attendees are not going to be in attendance tonight and I don’t want to make a drive and have no one. Sorry for the late notice, but it is an hour drive for me one way. Reminder, we will not have practice next Tuesday due to the county fair and our last practice this year will be July 29. See everyone then!
