Dog owners who purchased J.J. Fuds' frozen Premium Natural Blends, Chicken Tender Chunks pet food should throw it out and ask for a refund as soon as possible.

The American Coton Club has a designated "health fund" set up to fund Coton de Tulear related health issues world wide. In the past we have funded breeders needing to OFA test for hips/elbows, DNA test for von Willebrands and Neonatal Ataxia. These funds were open to all breeders wishing to test their breeding Cotons, not just ACC breeders.
With all the Coton health issues being posted on Facebook concerning PRA, IVDD, etc., and other health issues being discussed around the world, I thought this is a good time to mention the ACC has this health fund and is open to discussing any Coton health issues affecting our beloved breed.
Please contact the ACC with health projects, issues or questions you may have.
Again you do not need to be an ACC breeder or member. The only requirement is that you love Coton de Tulear and have an interest in the health of the breed.

DO YOU LOVE YOUR DOG?
(a message from Amelia Kinkade, animal communicator, on fireworks):
"I wouldn't want to see any of these dogs I love dead in the road, or worse yet, crippled and suffering...and you don't want to see that happen to YOUR dogs either! You all know I don't send out heart-breaking emails intended to jerk tears out of your eyeballs. But, deep breath...this is only a warning. I've spent many a 4th of July driving around Los Angeles picking up dogs who have been hit by cars, one of which almost bled to death in my arms until I had to spend the night with him in intensive care and finally make the devastating decision to put him to sleep. He had escaped his home with no tag, running in a frenzy from terrifying fireworks. I've spent the last 20 years trying to explain to dogs what "thunder" is, because whenever they hear a "monster in the sky" they logically expect a threat to appear. Fireworks are even worse.

Please, oh please, keep your dogs safe, quieted, and comforted when the fireworks start filling the sky with "monsters." You CAN'T underestimate how upsetting these deafening noises are to the animals who God blessed with the world's most sensitive ears. And you can't underestimate how securely they need to be locked up tomorrow night. Let's let this Independence Day be a safe happy one...for all of us--especially those of who can hear a pin drop a mile away and don't like fireworks. Four paws up for a happy holiday. Tailwags, Amelia"

Wishing everyone a safe and fun 4th of July. Remember to keep your Cotons safe inside during any fireworks tonight.
