A group of artists and locals alike who want to revitalize Colfax through the arts. We want to encourage every person in their artistic pursuits and want to provide our community with the means to accomplish this. We want to provide classes, art shows, festivals, studio-time, and much more. We want to show that Colfax is still a lively and interesting place, both for the people who live here and those who just visit.

Be Our Special Guest at the Placer Artists Studios Tour beginning 10am this Friday - Nov. 11. The 29th annual self-guided event begins 10am this Veteran’s Day Weekend. Studios and Galleries will be open over two weekends this year, November 11, 12 & 13, and November 18, 19 & 20.
Stop by my Art Studio & Gallery in Meadow Vista from 10 am to 5 pm, where my wife Chris and I are featuring a variety of items for guests who would like to get a jump-start for Christmas gift purchases. Our walls are packed with Original Paintings, Fine-Art Prints, and Holiday Greeting Cards. Check out our website (below) to pick out a few favorites before you arrive. We are confident you will find the perfect gift for family and friends.
This year our Gallery is also proud to expand our activity to include several musicians performing live on our outdoor stage or, if raining, in our Coffee Art Lounge on the second floor of the Gallery. Daryla Griser, a beautiful, soulful singer and guitarist will perform in the morning hours. And the Jorell Bahena Band will perform from 2:30 to closing time each day of the tour. This band does a unique blend of Alternative, pop, and rock covers along with some great originals mixed in.
The Placer Artists Studios Tour is the largest and longest-standing visual arts tour in the northern Sierra Foothills region. This FREE Open Studios Tour features over 120 artists showing their work in studios and galleries in Placer County.
This local tour gives a rare opportunity to see talented artists from the area working in their studio environment. Many of the artists will be demonstrating their techniques, making it a fun and educational event for the whole family. You may also purchase original art, prints, or art cards directly from the artists.

Hello Folks, The Placer Artists Studios Tour is the largest and longest-standing visual arts tour in the northern Sierra Foothills region. This FREE Open Studios Tour features over 120 artists showing their work in studios and galleries in Placer County.
This Weekend, the MEADOW VISTA COMMUNITY CENTER will be hosting the PREVIEW ART SHOW for 15 Tour Artists from the Meadow Vista and Colfax Region. The Preview Show will be on exhibition on Saturday, October 29, and Sunday, October 30 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Center is located at 1101 Meadow Vista Rd., Meadow Vista, CA 95722.
This event is an excellent opportunity to meet participating artists, pick up the Arts Directory & Tour Guide, plan your studio visits, bid on the Silent Auction art pieces, have a treat from The Local Cafe, and not only view local artists' works but, most of all, have the first opportunity to purchase a new piece of art from your favorite Artist! I hope to see you at this weekend's event, as well as during the Studios Tour next month.
The entire version of the Tour takes place on Veterans Day weekend, November 11, 12 & 13 from 10 am to 5 pm daily. This year an encore weekend on November 18, 19 & 20 will give you time to visit even more artists!

Hello Folks, Please come to the Machado Orchards Apple Festival this Saturday, October 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Nick Vogt will have an Art Gallery Exhibition Booth, featuring some of his original Watercolors (Including recently completed paintings of "Machado Orchards" and other local historic scenes).
In addition, He will have on hand some Limited-Edition Prints and Collector Greeting Cards of my "Machado Orchards Apple Festival" painting, as well as of other historic landmarks of the Gold Country region.
The festival is FREE, and Machados will have available a large variety of apples priced at 69 cents per pound, including, golden, red, Mutsu, Fuji, empire, Arkansas black, and pink lady. And, of course, Machado Orchards will have other produce, freshly baked pies, and ciders for sale.
The festival will include food samplings and other Artists who will be painting in the Orchard. Kool Kettle Korn and Maria's Tacos are among the festival returnees. Tap & Vine will make apple beverages - with and without alcohol - and The Rootz CBD Band will make its first appearance at the Apple Festival.
Bring the whole family for a day of Fun, Music, Art, samplings of food, and MORE! I look forward to seeing you soon
