We’re adding a new voice to the Colfax Main Street Board, and this one is pretty important. 💙

Our youth are the future of this community, and we want to hear from them.

We want to know what they love about Colfax, what they wish we had, what would make them want to stay, come back, get involved, and someday raise families or build businesses here.

That’s why we’re adding a Student Board Member to Colfax Main Street!

This student will have a real seat at the table for a 1 year term, sharing ideas, bringing a student perspective, helping with events and projects, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how a local nonprofit and community development work.

We spend a lot of time talking about the future of Colfax. It only makes sense that the people who are part of that future have a voice in it.

Who can apply?
🎓 Current Colfax-Mingo students in 10th through 12th grade
💙 Interested in their community and willing to share their ideas
🙌 Ready to get involved and represent the student perspective

Your voice matters. Your ideas matter. And we want you at the table.

Our monthly Colfax Bingo is September 10 at Cocina Hernandez Mexican Restaurant and Absolutely YOUnique Boutique!

This month's local celebrity bingo callers are Ben and Melissa Cooper of Cooper’s BBQ Cooper's BBQ is a well known local BBQ caterer that recently opened their catering kitchen in historic Downtown Colfax. Both Ben and Melissa have been involved with Colfax Main Street as volunteers for the Colfax Main Street Promotion Committee and have been faithful Colfax Bingo attendees!

Colfax Bingo is a fun and casual bingo night fundraiser for the Colfax Main Street Promotion Committee and projects and events designed to promote Downtown Colfax!
To play Colfax Bingo it is $1 per card per round (cash only). We sell packs of cards that cover the whole evening and will sell cards between each round. You could win half the bingo pot and local prizes! This is a fundraiser for promotional projects and events for historic Downtown Colfax business district (Halloween Walk, Colfax Country Christmas, Farmers Market, Eggstravaganza, shopping incentives, and more)!

To earn a free wild card show us either your purchased ticket to our City Lights- Dinner in the Street Event or a purchased raffle ticket for our Ladies' Night Out Grill Gazebo Raffle (only one free wild card per person with ticket to either project).

Okay, Colfax… this one is FUN. ✨

We’re bringing City Lights: Dinner in the Street back to Downtown Colfax on Saturday, September 26!

Picture one big table running down W. Howard Street, party lights overhead, Cooper’s BBQ on your plate, and a whole bunch of your neighbors gathered together for dinner. ❤️

And because we’re Colfax, we’re throwing a little history into the night too! Kevin Williams from the Colfax Historical Society & Museum will be sharing some of the stories that make our downtown so unique — plus we’ll have games, activities and dessert!

The last time we did this, more than 110 people joined us. Let’s fill the street again. 👏

We’d like to say congratulations and welcome to Cooper’s BBQ to Downtown Colfax! ✂️🎉 Colfax Main Street, the Downtown business community, and friends gathered this evening to celebrate their ribbon cutting at their new location at 116 N Walnut St!

Cooper’s BBQ is a familiar catering business to the Colfax area, serving delicious BBQ at many local events. The owners Ben and Melissa Cooper wanted to expand their growing business beyond their home. They found a great location in the heart of Colfax to open their catering kitchen and have their BBQ smoker in the back. While they are starting off just catering, they plan to have their kitchen open occasionally for orders. They are also hoping to expand soon to offer more dining experiences!

Both Ben and Melissa volunteer on the Colfax Main Street Promotion Committee! They have been instrumental in organizing food trucks for the Downtown Colfax Farmers Market and organize the soup supper fundraiser at Colfax Country Christmas. We’re excited to have new business owners join us in Downtown Colfax who are already invested in making our community a vibrant place!

Cooper’s BBQ will also be our local celebrity bingo callers at our next Colfax Bingo on September 10!

We're excited to announce that Kevin Williams of the Colfax Historical Society & Museum will be giving a Colfax history presentation at our City Lights- Dinner in the Street on September 26! We're also having some delicious BBQ catered by future Downtown Colfax business Cooper’s BBQ!

We hosted this event 2 years ago and we've been told it was a community favorite by those who came! We're setting up a huge table on E. Howard Street, decorating with lights, and going to enjoy a delicious meal together. Along with dinner and presentation, we'll also have some fun party games and more. Your ticket goes to support our non-profit program and our community's work to revitalize historic Downtown Colfax!

City Lights- Dinner in the Street is coming soon on Saturday, September 26! This is a big dinner on W. Howard Street where we’re setting up a big table, party lights, and gathering as a community to share a delicious BBQ pulled chicken meal from Cooper’s BBQ!

⭐️ Kevin Williams from the Colfax Historical Society & Museum will be giving a Colfax history presentation! It’s a great way to learn why Downtown Colfax has a unique history!

The VERY LAST Downtown Colfax Farmers Market of the season is happening NOW at Mineral Springs Park! It’s your last chance to visit your favorite vendors! El Meson Taco Shack is the food truck for tonight.

We’d like to thank the Colfax Main Street Promotion Committee volunteers, especially our Promotion Co-Char Nikki Stravers for organizing this weekly summer activity that draws ‘foot traffic’ to Downtown Colfax. It’s been an excellent opportunity for our community to gather in the heart of Colfax!

Here’s a neat project that increases vibrancy and literacy in historic Downtown Colfax! 📚

Colfax’s P.E.O. Chapter BA volunteers created and installed a Free Little Library in the ‘pocket park’ next to Colfax City Hall (Mast2 Park). You can take and leave books and perhaps enjoy reading in the park!

We think this project is a great public art piece that helps ‘activate’ the park space in Downtown Colfax and helps make Downtown Colfax a vibrant and beautiful space to spend time.
