Coleman Veterans Memorial The Coleman Veterans Memorial, in Coleman, MI, is a powerful tribute honoring the sacrifices of U.S. military service members across generations.

This tribute honors the sacrifices of US military service members featuring life-size statues representing soldiers from WWI through OEF as both a place of reflection and an educational resource, illustrating the shared commitment of America's defenders. Established by the Coleman Veterans Memorial Committee, the site features eight life-size statues representing soldiers from World War I through Operation Enduring Freedom, including a groundbreaking female combat soldier and a military working dog. The memorial's design includes three converging walkways symbolizing the paths and ethnic backgrounds among those who served, and an outer circle displaying flags of all five military branches. Personalized "Bricks of Honor" line the inner walkway, commemorating veterans from the local community and beyond. This memorial serves as both a place of reflection and an educational resource, illustrating the diverse stories and shared commitment of America's defenders.

Our crew from Utah will depart for home tomorrow. The final results look even better than when we first installed them.

The foundry improved their Patina Application bringing out more highlights than before. Maintaining the statues going forward should be easier.

This Friday there is an event "Walk thru Coleman " plus the homecoming parade. Stop by and visit the memorial in the Walk thru Coleman. We'll have TShirts, Hats, Cook books, and we'll be drawing too for some swag and Brick Pavers.

Last day of work on the memorial. Watching this a transformation has been amazing the process to how much dedication the guys have. It has been a bit chilly in the morning, but the are here getting statues redone. The nicest guys and ready to explain the process as they go. I am watching this morning taking some photos.

The statues are getting stripped down to the bronze. The apply heat to burn off all the wax, Shoe polish and the origin...

The statues are getting stripped down to the bronze. The apply heat to burn off all the wax, Shoe polish and the original patina coating. Then they'll use medium abrasive pads to polish off as much as they can get off. Once completed they'll reapply a new Patina coating and recolor all the statues to theyre gray and brown color.

Yesterday the Agriscience kids were the best help we could ask for in the AM Agriscience kids help Marcy and others decorate the town for fall and next weeks activities. The PM Agriscience help us with clean of the memorial, like clearing weeds, the dead flowers around the flags poles, removing mold that grows between the bricks and spread new mulch at the memorial around the flags poles and even the Eagle. They where so much help. As they say many hands make for lite work. I got a pick of the PM crew. Lets not forget the AM crew too.
