We are happy to welcome Ryder Ross! He is putting lots of energy into his Coleman County position and is making an impact early. He's been coordinating with the local 4-H'ers in getting project animals ready for the new stock show season along with helping guide parents and kids in the many competition categories that 4-H offers. We are looking forward to the first full season of 4-H activities with Mr. Ryder Ross!

This is the second of three Coleman TODAY articles on the Coleman County Extension Office. Today’s article focuses on Ryder Ross, the county extension agent over agriculture and natural resources.

When You Give Back 🌱🐑🐐

There’s something pretty special about being able to give your time to the next generation of livestock exhibitors.

Andrea Phillips had the opportunity to volunteer at a local sheep and goat showmanship clinic, and it was a reminder of why we do what we do. Showmanship is about more than just standing in the ring—it’s about learning responsibility, building confidence, listening to those willing to teach, and learning how to work with an animal that depends on you.

She was able to share a little knowledge, answer questions, and encourage these young exhibitors—and grateful for the opportunity to share.
