MISSING MILITARY NAMES ADDED

We wish to recognize the Military Memorial Committee formed in 2013 by B.C.H.S. President, David McDonald, for their efforts in identifying and recognizing three missing names from the WWII Gold Star monument located in Coldwater's 4-Corners Park.

Now added to the monument are the names, Billy Gonser, Francis Bobay, and Mayland Warble. Missed at the time when the monument was dedicated in the park, research by the MMC committee members (Barbara Hefner-Parks in particular) revealed three service members had been overlooked.

They were added onto the monument this week in time for the Monday Memorial Day services.

The historic Governor's Mansion in Marshall is hosting the D.A.R. American 250 Traveling Exhibit. You can see the exhibit from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on February 19 & 20.
It would also give you an excuse to visit the historic building that was built in 1839 for the Michigan Governor at a time when it was believed that Marshall would be the State Capital. Located at 612 South Marshall Street in Marshall. Ample parking is up the driveway and behind the building.
