We’re excited for our interns as they step into their new roles and begin an exciting season of learning and growth!

A BIG thank you to one of our former Project SEARCH interns for coming back to spend time with our current interns!

It was wonderful hearing about her experiences and learning what it really takes to get—and keep—a job in the community. From having a strong work ethic and good attendance to communicating with coworkers, being dependable, and advocating for yourself, they shared valuable insight into the world of work.

Our Project SEARCH interns are officially stepping into their new internship rotations, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Today, our interns had the opportunity to meet their new department teams, learn about their upcoming responsibilities, and get familiar with their new work environments. Each rotation brings new skills to learn, new people to meet, and new opportunities to grow!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing department mentors and staff for welcoming our interns and helping them learn what it takes to be successful in the workplace!

Our Project SEARCH interns have been busy practicing their interview skills and workplace skills as they prepare for their internships!

From answering interview questions and practicing professional communication to learning how to make a great first impression, our interns are building the confidence and skills they need to be successful in the workplace.

Every practice opportunity is one step closer to becoming a confident, successful employee!

We are so proud of the effort, growth, and determination our interns are showing! Keep practicing, keep learning, and keep opening those doors!

Today, our Project SEARCH interns put their evaluation skills to the test—with COOKIES! 🍪

Each intern evaluated cookies based on different job-related skills such as appearance, quality, accuracy, attention to detail, following directions, and overall performance. We talked about how something can look great but still need improvement in another area.

Then we made the connection: This is exactly what we do when evaluating our internship experiences! 💼

The goal isn't to be perfect—it’s to identify strengths, recognize areas for growth, and keep improving our workplace skills.

And, of course, the best part of the evaluation process… we got to eat our evidence! 😋🍪

There’s something extra special about hearing about the workplace from someone who has been there and done that! ❤️

Today, our Project SEARCH interns had the opportunity to welcome back one of our OG interns, Kaelin, to share her experience and talk about what it really takes to get a job, maintain a job, and be successful in the community.

Real-life experiences and advice from former interns are such a valuable part of the Project SEARCH journey. Our current interns were able to hear firsthand that success doesn't happen overnight. It takes hard work, responsibility, communication, perseverance, and the confidence to advocate for yourself.

A huge THANK YOU Kaelin for coming back and sharing your story with our interns! Your experience, honesty, and encouragement are helping prepare the next group of interns for success. We are so proud to see our graduates continuing to pay it forward!

Our Project SEARCH interns spent some time practicing their interview skills through peer interviews! 💼✨

Interns took turns being both the interviewer and the interviewee, giving them a chance to practice answering common interview questions, making eye contact, speaking clearly, and showing confidence. They also learned the importance of listening, professional body language, and asking thoughtful questions.

These practice interviews are a great way to build confidence and prepare for the real thing!
