Today, our Project SEARCH interns put their evaluation skills to the test—with COOKIES! 🍪

Each intern evaluated cookies based on different job-related skills such as appearance, quality, accuracy, attention to detail, following directions, and overall performance. We talked about how something can look great but still need improvement in another area.

Then we made the connection: This is exactly what we do when evaluating our internship experiences! 💼

The goal isn't to be perfect—it’s to identify strengths, recognize areas for growth, and keep improving our workplace skills.

And, of course, the best part of the evaluation process… we got to eat our evidence! 😋🍪

There’s something extra special about hearing about the workplace from someone who has been there and done that! ❤️

Today, our Project SEARCH interns had the opportunity to welcome back one of our OG interns, Kaelin, to share her experience and talk about what it really takes to get a job, maintain a job, and be successful in the community.

Real-life experiences and advice from former interns are such a valuable part of the Project SEARCH journey. Our current interns were able to hear firsthand that success doesn't happen overnight. It takes hard work, responsibility, communication, perseverance, and the confidence to advocate for yourself.

A huge THANK YOU Kaelin for coming back and sharing your story with our interns! Your experience, honesty, and encouragement are helping prepare the next group of interns for success. We are so proud to see our graduates continuing to pay it forward!

Our Project SEARCH interns spent some time practicing their interview skills through peer interviews! 💼✨

Interns took turns being both the interviewer and the interviewee, giving them a chance to practice answering common interview questions, making eye contact, speaking clearly, and showing confidence. They also learned the importance of listening, professional body language, and asking thoughtful questions.

These practice interviews are a great way to build confidence and prepare for the real thing!

We are so excited to welcome this amazing group of young adults as they begin their Project SEARCH journey at Mercer Health. Over the next year, they will be learning valuable workplace skills, gaining hands-on experience in different departments, building confidence, and discovering what they are capable of achieving.

They each bring their own personality, strengths, talents, and goals to the program—and we can't wait to watch them grow! 🌱

Today was a great reminder that success in the workplace is about more than just knowing how to do a job. Communication and teamwork are essential! 🤝

We're thrilled to announce that Project SEARCH is back in action! On August 25th, our amazing interns return for another year of hands-on learning, skill-building, and real-world work experiences.

This program continues to transform lives by empowering young adults with disabilities to gain meaningful employment skills in a supportive, inclusive environment. We can't wait to see all the incredible growth and achievements this year will bring!

Congratulations to our graduating Project SEARCH interns! 🎓✨

We are incredibly proud of all the hard work, growth, perseverance, and accomplishments these interns have achieved throughout the year. Watching their confidence and skills develop has been truly inspiring, and we cannot wait to see what their futures hold!

Our interns put their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test with an exciting Egg Drop Challenge 🥚💡

From brainstorming creative designs to building and testing their contraptions, it was great to watch their collaboration and critical thinking in action. They worked together, adapted their ideas, and supported one another throughout the process!

A big THANK YOU to our Maintenance Department for helping bring this activity to life—and for bravely launching the contraptions off the roof! We couldn’t have done it without you!
