An Exciting Week for the Colden Fire Company!
This past week was filled with several exciting and memorable moments for the Colden Fire Company!
October 7th – Fire Prevention Week
Our volunteers had the pleasure of visiting Colden Elementary School in recognition of Fire Prevention Week. We enjoyed spending time with the students, sharing important fire safety tips, answering questions, and giving them an up-close look at our fire apparatus.
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the younger members of our community and help educate them on the importance of fire safety. Our volunteers enjoyed the experience just as much as the students! We would like to thank Colden Elementary School for welcoming us and allowing us to be part of their Fire Prevention Week activities.
October 8th – A New Chapter for Colden Engine 2
The Colden Fire Company was proud to officially donate our Colden Engine 2 to Erie County Emergency Services, where it will continue to serve an important purpose as a training apparatus.
Although Engine 2’s time serving the Colden community has come to an end, we are honored to know it will continue making a difference by helping train firefighters and emergency responders for years to come.
It is a privilege to see a piece of our department’s history begin a new chapter in such a meaningful way.
From educating the youngest members of our community to supporting the training of future emergency responders, this week was a reminder of the importance of service, education, and community involvement.
The Colden Fire Company remains proud of its commitment to serving our community and supporting the fire service beyond our district.
