Honest Thoughts From The Heart
Hi everyone,
Thank you for the political friend request that continues to come through.
After a great deal of reflection, I’ve decided not to continue pursuing this path or remain involved in the process.
For nine years, I poured my time, energy, and personal funding into trying to protect this community from overdevelopment, flooding, water contamination, and the corruption that will harm all of us. I truly hoped to make meaningful change, but I’ve come to accept voters believe that this was not enough experience needed for the office to accomplish what I believed was necessary.
The community chose someone who is more connected on the inside. Sadly, I believe this will get worse before it gets better.
Fun fact: for this race there are about 22,000 registered voters and only about 7400 voted. Thank you again

Thank you all so much.
While this is obviously not the outcome, we worked so hard for, the voters have spoken, and we should respect the will of the people.
To my family, thank you for standing by me through every late night and every mile traveled. To the tireless volunteers, and everyone who poured their heart, energy, and hope into this race, I am so grateful for your belief in me. We got the word out there on our values and expectations.
While this campaign may be ending, the fight for the values that brought us together does not end. The issues we raised (over development, protecting our environment, expenditures, and public safety)—remain as vital tomorrow as they were today. We may be in the minority for now, but our voices and our vision for the future are still needed.
Let us gracefully look forward, support our new leadership where we can, and continue working toward a better community for everyone.

After being at a dinner where Washoe County Commissioner Clara Andriola was guess speaker. I did some research. One of my opponents has worked very closely with Commissioner Andriola recent times on business codes. What does this mean for District 5? Business as usual? I don't know.
