Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Local volunteers assisting in their community. Providing emergency medical services to philipstown. Currently respond to over 700 emergency calls yearly.

Provides 2 ambulances in house. PVAC offers CPR training, driver training on ambulances, and sponsoring for emergency medical technician schooling. We work together with local fire departments North Highlands FD and Cold Spring FD. Philipstown responds to A variety of different calls from ill patients to motor vehicle accidents and mountain rescues. PVAC is always looking for new applicants to volunteer. Ages 16 and up. Today at 16:30 Philipstown Ambulance along with North Highlands Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident reporting one van in the woods after striking a telephone pole with injuries. Both 33-7-1 and 33-7-2 assisted with patient care while the Fire Department isolated the hazardous incidents in the road with the telephone pole and live wires down on the roadway.

FLOOD WARNING | SUNDAY, OCT 12 and MONDAY, OCT 13
Heavy rains and tidal surge are expected Sunday and Monday. The Hudson is likely to breach its banks in the lower Village: See detailed warning from the National Weather Service, below. The next high tides are 4:26pm Sunday/Oct. 12 and 5:11am Monday/Oct 13. Residents and business owners near the waterfront should please secure property and prepare to shelter in place. Sandbag-filling materials will be available at the Fair Street Municipal lot no later than 12 noon today, Sunday, October 12.

Do not drive or walk through flood water. As needed, the Cold Spring Police Department will close roadways west of Lunn Terrace. If you do not live west of Lunn, please DO NOT drive around cones to observe flooding. Call 911 for any emergency concerns.

Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps mourns the loss of our very own Lieutenant John Egger (33-1-2), a Life Member, Past Captain, and dedicated servant to our community.
John’s leadership, humor, and unwavering dedication defined what it means to serve with heart. His wisdom guided generations of EMTs, and his legacy will live on in every member he trained and every patient he helped.
Rest easy, Lieutenant. Your watch is complete. 💙🚑
